Newsletters play an important role in stabilization and future growth of business. Actually, potential customers can be bound with the business using effective newsletter campaign. Considering them most important, all shopping carts like PrestaShop and others allows the merchants to collect email addresses of the subscribers at home page.
Unfortunately, PrestaShop don’t allow sending newsletter in bulk or SMTP server configuration is not possible. To facilitate the customers, “FMEModules” has developed FME Newsletter and Statistics module for PrestaShop that allows the merchants to manage subscribers, customize newsletter and configure SMTP server to send newsletter emails in bulk.
In today’s post, we will explain you the use PrestaShop 1.6 newsletter module by explaining its front and backend demo.
How to Use PrestaShop Newsletter Module?
First, I will explain you the front-end demo followed by backend.
This module shows newsletter subscription box on PrestaShop web-store home page as shown in the figure. The text “Subscribe for Newsletter Here” can be changes from backend.
Step 1: Login to the back-end of the demo, input user name and password.
Step 2: Go to Modules>Modules and search for Advanced Newsletter Module, do the general settings here as shown in figure.
Step 3: Go to section of Advanced Newsletter>settings. Here you will see 6 different sections that are
- SMTP configuration
- General settings
All these sections are discussed below one by one.
Through this section, merchants can upload a csv file in proper format which should contain the email of all subscribers. All uploaded csv files can be seen here.
From this section admin can manage all the subscribers as shown in figure.
From this section, merchants can customize the newsletter according to their desire. This section has four steps
First step is associated with adding products in the newsletter, product image size, position and other details as shown in figure. Click on next to move to the next step.
Second Step is related to newsletter customization. It gives full options to customize and design a newsletter including newsletter body, header, footer, view, insert products etc. Merchant can make a template and save it for further use.
Third step is related to selection of subscribers i.e. select the subscribers to whom you want to send newsletter.
Fourth step is final step from where merchants can send the newsletter by clicking on send newsletter button.
From this section, retailers can setup an SMTP server for sending newsletter to subscribers as shown in the image.
From this section, admin can set the position and appearance of newsletter subscription block on the front end.
From this section, admin can see the history of newsletters that are sent to subscribers.
